i have a bruised feeling in my pubic area on the right side. there is no discoloration or lump as far as i can tell. should i be worried?

Trauma?: It's difficult to say without asking more detailed questions. Try to remember if you could have bruised yourself either leaning against something while carrying it or possibly after a session of intercourse. If this continues and causes great pain be evaluated. A possible infection may be present or  a reason may have occurred where the pubic bone is separating.

Pelvis: If there has been no trauma, discomfort in the lower abdomen in the midline may be due to some pelvic congestion or mild inflammation. I recommend that you have a gynecologist perform a pelvic examination if the discomfort persists or if there is any menstrual abnormality but the congestion  may resolve after a normal menstrual  period.

8 days ago i had a endometrial ablation, tubal and hysterscopey. i now have severe cramping and pain in my upper pubic area. there seems to be a hard mass under my incision that is very painful to touch and i am bruised beyond measure. ?

Need follow up: Please contact your surgeon, you may have a hematoma (blood clot near the incision), also severe cramping 8 days post ablation is somewhat atypical, so it is best you get evaluated.

Yes: If the baby is large and your pubic angle of the bone is narrow, bruising sometimes occurs. Mother nature is adaptable and will often allow the place where the pubic bones come together in the front to slightly separate the cartilage that holds the bone together to allow a baby passage.

Pain and discomfort from a bruised bone in the  pelvic region could be irritated by sexual activity and this may lead to some dysfunction. If there is bruising around the genitalia, get it looked at by a doctor to make sure no hematoma is forming.

Probably: It sounds more like bruising then anything else. This can occur after vigorous intimate encounters. Try resting and avoiding intercourse for a few days and see if it improves. If it doesn't follow up with your gynecologist.
