from many years, i get foreign eye sensation in my both eyes and itching and redness sometimes. i do have dirty sclera, brown mess under both iris. i also have myopia but i don't wear specs? what is that brown mess? could it be left untreated?

: Dark skinned people, such as African-Americans, often have brownish spots in their sclera. A new brown area can be a serious issue ( melanoma). I highly recommend that you be examined by an ophthalmologist in view of long-standing eye complaints.

Rare issue: In 25 years of specialty practice I have never seen this in caucasian race except in rare cases of conjunctival nevi.  Much more common in blacks who can develop progressive conjunctival melanosis which should be addressed by eye physician.

Darkness: This could be pigment or dried blood.  You should see your ophthalmologist to make sure.

Usually pigment: Pigmented cells before birth can migrate onto the conjunctiva and proliferate with time causing brownish spots.  Although natural, they can both some in their appearance.  There are means to remove them if they are a problem but this is cosmetic as these are not going to bother the vision or health of the eye.

Discolored eyes: If uniform color, may be hereditary, espeically if afroamerican. However, if isolated area, may be due to previous bleeding (subconjunctival hemorrahge). Should see eye care provider, slight, slight possiblity could be more severe condition.

No treatment needed: Slight brownish/ yellowish discoloration of lower sclera is a normal phenomenon in a lot of people. It doesn't require any treatment if there are no other symptoms. Feel good

Normal finding: If you darker skin, this is normal.  In is called "benign racial melanosis".  Like the skin the surface of the eye has pigment containing cells.  If you are of northern european  decent without a darker complexion, this may be abnormal.

i have many black spots in both my scleras but i noticed some new spots now they were brown before and now turning to black which is concerning i have some floaters too what should i do?

: Black spots on sclera (scleral melanosis) are benign most of the time.
Floaters are also common, only of concern if they suddenly appear a lot or floaters with different shapes along with change in vision or they appear along with flash (lightning) with closed eye. If you have those symptoms, you need to see an eye physician right away.

can you tell me if on my sclera (white part of my eye) there's a little brown speck on it, does anyone know if this is dangerous and if i can get rid of it?

Nevus: This is most likely a deposit of pigment which some would call a nevus.  It is more common to be on this part of the eye in more darkly pigmented races.  It is probably in the conjunctiva as this would be rare on the sclera.  It can be removed by your ophthalmologist if it bothers you cosmetically but that is usually not covered by insurance.  Really, really rarely this can be a melanoma.

when i move my eyes side to side, i see some bubbling or bulging of a clear film on my sclera. also, there's yellowish brown discoloration around iris?

Pterygium: The bulge on your sclera is probably a benign growth called a pterygium. If it is symptomatic, it can be removed by an ophthalmologist. Make an appointment with an ophthalmologist to examine the yellowish brown discoloration around your iris.
