Vasculitis: The cause of most forms of vasculitis ( inflammation of blood vessels) is unknown. However  we know the immune system plays a role. The immune system is meant to protect the body, but when it becomes "overactive" due to some unknown trigger it can cause inflammation in the blood vessels. This causes narrowing of the blood vessel, decreased blood supply which can cause damage to surrounding tissues.

Laser: "Broken" blood vessels are actually permanently dilated blood vessels often seen in sun-exposed skin or on the face in a condition called rosacea.  They can be treated with an electric needle, laser or injection (sclerotherapy), all of which can be done by a dermatologist.

Veins are closer: Veins carry blood that has given up oxygen(and headed to the heart and lungs for more oxygen) and that blood is darker than oxygenated blood in the arteries which are deeper and less visible.

Unlikely!: Although one would expect some tenderness at the site of a injured blood vessel, it should remain superficial and not cause any pain in the head proper. If your CT was of the head and is Neg. and the headaches continue, one should follow up with their physician and /or see a Neurologist. Good luck.

Unlikely : The burn you have, even though I'm sure it's quite painful, is likely too superficial to come in contact with any blood vessels on your forehead. You can consider taking Tylenol (acetaminophen) or ibuprofen for your pain. Also, applying a cool (not icy cold) compress to the area may be helpful. Best wishes.

Melasma: Just noormal aging can cause our skin to be unevenly colored. The melanocytes that are deep in our skin, make their way to the top of our skin normally at the same speed, but as we begin to age, the pigment is carried by the cells at different times. There are chemical peels and other modalities that can help with these issues. :)

We don't know!: What a great question. The truth is we don't really know. There is a suggestion in the literature that chronic migraines may (MAY) be linked to a slightly increased risk of stroke, potentially because of mild long-term damage to blood vessels. But research is ongoing into this question. The best thing to do is to treat the migraines and make sure your blood pressure is under good control.
