Trust the test: Home pregnancy tests are very accurate. They are the same tests used in a doctor's office. They can detect a pregnancy 7-10 days after conception. The best time to take one is when you miss your period.  If you doubt the result you can repeat it in 1-2 days. If you were pregnant the hormone level would rise enough for detection.

PMS or ovarian cyst: All of those symptoms can occur with pms.  If they are persisting longer than 1 to 2 weeks, they may be due to a ovarian cyst which is continuing to make extra progesterone.  See your doctor for an exam and ultrasound.

No: You could be pregnant of course, but these symptoms are not from having sex 5 days ago. Pregnancy symptoms do not develop that quickly!

Monitor: Hormonal fluctuations can cause some breast tenderness and bloating. New breast symptoms should be evaluated by a doctor with and exam and mammogram if needed. They can also check out your vaginal discharge and make sure all is normal. If you think you might be pregnant check then check a home pregnancy test. They are cheap, reliable and available  at any pharmacy.

Hard to say: It is hard to draw conclusions when there are minor changes in PMS symptoms from one cycle to another. If you think you might be pregnant check then check a home pregnancy test. They are cheap, reliable and available  at any pharmacy. Birth control can be very helpful at decreasing PMS symptoms. If your bloating continues schedule an evaluation

Could be.: The best way to know is a urine pregnancy test. This early, if it is negative but no period, retest in another week. Be sure to use reliable protection (if you are on the pill, take it at the same time every day; if you use condoms use them every time and be sure you know how to use them right) to prevent pregnancy regardless of where you are in your cycle - the "rhythm method" does not work.

Possible to be preg.: The tenderness of the breasts, especially if you notice the veins showing more clearly, is often a sign of pregnancy. Of course, the other things you mentioned may also be, but they may also be premenstrual symptoms. Might want to take a test . Good luck.

Many possibiliites: !st, ifyou ahve skipped periods then you shoudl check a pregnancy test immediatly.  There are many other reasosn for skipping periods that mostylky involve ovulation disorders such as thyroid, prolactin or pcos. Your bloating may be a sign that you need a progesteroen withdrawl bleed.  Mastalgia (breast tenderness) is likely due to hormonal fluctuations, but most important to se eif you are preg.
