Ask your surgeon: The best way to prepare for surgery is to eat well (healthy) with vitamins if appropriate, avoid alcohol or medications that can affect platelets and cause bleeding, and to continue with reasonable exercise preoperatively. After surgery, follow your surgeon's instructions but be sure to ask for both pre and post op instructions from your surgeon. Don't guess.
