: This can be several issues. It is best to see a doctor in person to get a diagnosis of the condition. This seems like an esophageal issue. I wonder if it is an eosinophilic esophagus,  reflux, or an obstruction.

No food: relation.  Once you take medication, iodine does not do much.

Hypothyroidism: When the thyroid makes too little hormone (t4 and t3), the pituitary makes more TSH to try to compensate.  So an elevated TSH is indicative of a thyroid that has failed or is failing, and you may need to take levothyroxine.  See your doctor.

i'm just curious i had covid back in march. within weeks i noticed mild dysphagia(feels like a piece of bread stuck one side) and a nodule on left side of neck/throat within last 4 days. even with a fam history of thyroidism. could covid be the cause?

: Covid could be the cause of an enlarged lymph node, if that is what is causing your symptoms. If this continues, you should see your doctor to have this evaluated. You may need to see GI for the swallowing difficulty. If the lymph node is enlarged from Covid, this should gradually decrease in size. Good luck!

IBS: These symptoms, if recurrent, are consistent with an irritable bowel syndrome where a hyperactive gastrointestinal tract pattern is stimulated as food enters your stomach. This reaction can be blunted by taking anticholinergic medication like dicyclomine 1/2 hour before breakfast. Other possibilities include lactose or gluten intolerance. Discuss this with your physician or a gastroenterologist.

Not at same time: A person might be both hyper- and hypothyroid at different times in his/her life, but you can't be 'actively' both at the same time, nosiree.

Not simultaneously: Hi. Yes, you can, but not simultaneously. For example, treatment of Graves' disease often renders the patients hypothyroid. Hypothyroidism can sequentially follow hyperthyroidism. Same for a self limited process called a subacute thyroiditis - hyperthyroidism followed by hypothyroidism. Hypothyroidism can be over treated causing hyperthyroidism. Hyper and hypo cannot be present at the same time.

Yes: thyroid dysfunction can affect you menstrual cycle. If you havent been checked, it is an easy blood test.
