Aspiration: Such patients frequently get aspiration pneumonia. The long term prognosis is not good. The short term is not necessarily terrible but if aspiration is repeating then things get worse.

Unsure: Test his blood pressure a few more times.It was hopefully an error. If you keep getting the same readings, get him checked out at the er. Such a blood pressure is extremely unusual.

High: Cerebral atrophy occurs as the result of brain damage.   Therefore by defitioning, death of brain cells may occur as a result of injury to the brain including: stroke and  traumatic brain injury. Other causes of atrophy are specific diseases and infection or inflammation of the brain.  Risk factors include advanced age, brain injury fh of alzheimer’s disease, huntington’s disease, or siminlar disea.

Treatments: Based on your description, very hard to categorize, but if he has incoordination causing this, use of weights on limbs might help.  If these are myoclonic jerks, medication can control, similar if seizure activity.  Might contact us with a video of activity, as that will help guide us.

Medical phobias &amp;: GAD.  Keep w/psychiatrist but add a thorough physical exam by your doc.  Also make sure you are getting psychotherapy, not only medication.  Peace and good health.  Integrative health care has potential for best outcome.

Probably not, but: Discuss this w/ your provider. The doctor who diagnosed you thyroid disease is the best one to talk about expected effects and cautions that lead elsewhere. They'll refer you to the right specialist for things not related to thyroid. I hope you get this under some management. Best!

See a Neurologist: Unfortunately based on the information given, a cranial nerve problem may be at play.  The diagnostic work up requires much more than an MRI and may need to be directed by a neurologist.

MRI: The best way to know that someone had a stroke is doing a brain MRI.  If someone had a stroke it means that a part of the brain died do to lack of blood flow or rupture of a blood vessel with blood spilling.  Recovery occurs by other parts of the brain taking over. Medically, we use  "brain death" to signify total loss of brain function or activity (the person is dead &amp; recovery is not possible).
