what kind of brain tumor can cause loss of taste?

Actually lots can: One that comes to mind right away is something called a meningioma and one of these could settle into what is called the olfactory groove.  This will cause a loss of smell which then, distinctly can affect taste.  But why would you be worried about something as rare as Hen's teeth?  Loss of smell and taste due to brain tumors are almost so rare that some people actually get used to them.

No: A brain tumor cannot be caused by anxiety or pills.

Do YOU have a tumor?: Or does afflict someone close to you.  If tumor present, one can surely fall, and lose balance, and have seizures.  If this is occurring without appropriate control, see your doctor and get this addressed.

Difficult diagnosis: Early symptoms of brain tumor include headache, dysfunction of portions of the body, seizures, weird sensations and sometimes visual changes.  Opticians make eyeglasses and do not have the training to diagnose eye problems let alone brain tumors.  Optometrists are deficient in this as well.  At age 12 a pediatric ophthalmologist should be consulted or neurologist if there is any issue of tumor.

Pretty unlikely: You would have many other symptoms if that were the case.

I doubt: Anything is possible. However, i doubt that brain tumor is the case here.There are many factors that are related to memory problems-especially in the case of alcohol and endocrine problems ( which one?) i think in your case-other causes such as vit B12 deficiency, hypothyroidism or hepatic encephalopathy related to alcohol - need to be checked as those could be the reason why you become forgetful.

i have a noncancer brain tumor on 5, 6, 7 if its not on 10 nerve would it cause stomach and colon problems?

No: Would not expect tumor of cranial nerves 5, 6 or 7 to cause gastrointestinal problems. However, involvement of cranial nerve 8 could elicit vertigo with vomiting that could be indirectly interpreted as being of gastrointestinal origin.

Anxiety and memory: The simple answer is "yes". Anxiety interferes with concentration and focusing. It is very common to be a bit scattered when experiencing anxiety.  Memory problems do not suggest you have a brain tumor. So, relax about your memory lapses.
