Why tested?: Typically the AMH and antral follicle count are done on patients who are dealing with infertility who are considering undergoing in vitro fertilization. These tests are not typically used to predict fertility in those who are not suffering from infertility. We can not determine if you will conceive naturally from just these tests.

Yes: the first medicine to try is metformin which helps encourage ovulation;  if that does not work ovulation induction is sometimes necessary with clomid (clomiphene) and/ or other drugs.  the issue with pcos is that women are often anovulatory.  if you are overweight, weight loss can also help encourage the body to ovulate

PCOS ?'s: Although conception is possible with a diagnosis of PCOS, the basic problem is that ovulation, which is necessary for conception, does not occur with regularity in PCOS.
