Both are good: Both ensure and boost have about the same number of calories (250) as well as more in the plus varieties.  Both suppy good amounts of protein, and can be used if you are lactose intolerant or need a gluten free diet.  Cost and taste could be a factor, and are both better if chilled.  My patients seem to like them both about the same. Consider carnation instant breakfast if money/taste is a concern.

Multiple product: Boost and ensure are both nutritional drinks. Both have multiple products in the same brand name with adding prefix or suffix, with differences in various products. .  There are minor differences in potassium and protein content. If you have no medical problem this minor differences would not matter, otherwise consult dietitian if on special food requirement..

Appetite loss: Loss of appetite may be due to psychological or pathophysiological factors. Is pregnancy a possibility? If not, are there any concerns psychologically or emotionally? If not, and appetite loss(anorexia), and especially if there is weight loss ,your physician should take a thorough history, perform a complete physical examination and order any appropriate tests in order to make a diagnosis.

A matter of balance.: To gain a single pound, you must eat 3500 calories more than you use. This would translate to an increase in calories of 500/day to gain one pound in a week! continue to be sure that your extra calories are nutritious, not junk. Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, almond butter on whole grain toast, smoothies are other good examples. You probably don't get much sympathy, but it can be hard to gain!

Yes: I assume you are trying go gain weight or muscle mass after a workout?

Ensure plus and boost contain a large amount of calories and protein.  Drinking one of each after a workout shouldn`t cause a problem.

Do not need one: You may by ensure at a grocery store or Walmart, without prescription. However, you probably do not need ensure or boost for your health.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

Gaining Weight: Probably 2-3 bottles a day
in addition to your regular 1600 calories a day food intake to maintain 116 pounds at normal daily activities. This will add 500 extra calories per day.

There are 3500 calories in 1 pound of weight.  If you add 500 calories a day in a week you will gain 1 pound of weight. 500 x 7=3500 calories

i am 16 year old.study for around 8-12 hours/day.to boost studies and ensure that i dont feel sleepy i take half tablet of amway daily is it alright?

Amway tablets: if you mean approved vitamins and nutritional supplements, and not exceeding recommended dosage on labels, there shouldn't be a problem. Good luck with your exams
