Not many choices: When a person says I have an armpit boil, she usually means something 10mm or wider... which we recommend be examined by a doctor (may need to be opened up). However, a "boil" means different things to different people. For example, facial pimples are similar to tiny armpit boils... which means acne medicine like Benzoyl Peroxide may work on a few 1mm-5mm sized armpit pimples.

Yes: I would recommend you see your provider and he or she will likely lance the lesions. If these are in your armpit area the condition is call hidradenitis suppuritiva. If is not uncommon for this condition to return.

High White count: It sounds like you had an abscess, which are not uncommon in the underarm area.  A high white count may sometimes be associated, but may be a separate issue.  Treatment for the abscess is incision and drainage. Fever, high white count and signs of septicemia may mean antibiotics would be indicated as well, but if related to your abscess the white count should return to normal after drainage.

Only with sex?: So if this is occurring only with sex and under the armpits this is very unusual and sounds like a bit hormonal and can be related to PCOS

You need to have : The courage to go see your doctor and get treated . Otherwise the boils will keep recurring and gets worst with complications . No it is not std. You need antibiotics to treat it. Please go see your doctor.

Can not advise: Would need either to see it or a photograph. Probably needs nothing more if was a large superficial pustule or infected ingrown hair follicle. A boild needs to be adequately drained, so it could reform if the opening is only pinhole in size. Would need antibiotics if area aound it is red +/or tender as this could be early cellulitis.

hi, i have a boil under my armpit, i've stopped shaving and changed my deodorant, taken antibiotics. the boil has been here for 3 weeks now and the pain has migrated down to my entire right arm. also feel alot of heat and pain in my right arm.

You have an: abscess by your description and a fairly well established one at that.  Antibiotics can only partially contain this and will not resolve an abscess.  I am sorry to say you are going to need this incised and drained as soon as you can.  If you know a good general surgeon call him/her or your PCP for a referral.  Failing that a good Emergency department can perform.  Don't wait too long
