Please clarify: There is a "heart in there" but normally we don't hear/ think about our heart beating.  Do you mean you feel your heart "pounding" or you're having some kind of out of body experience? Please clarify and resubmit so we can better respond. Take care.

Probably not: If you just feel hard one or two beats here and there these could be just extra beats which are not dangerous. But if this is happening frequently and bothers you then you should see a cardiologist.

Rapid heart rate: I would like to know your exact heart rate(pulse) when you feel that it's rapid. If you or a reliable observer can't determine it accurately, then I recommend that you wear a portable heart monitor(Holter) for 24-48 hours and write down when you have symptoms. Frequently we find no abnormally rapid rate(over90) when the patient feels it's rapid. This is often seen in anxiety states.  Discuss with

Shakiness: Although those symptoms may be explained by anxiety, its possible that its your blood pressure or heart issues (less likely). You should have it checked out

See the doc again: Let your doctor know you continue to feel poorly. Did you have a prolonged recording of your heart rhythm that correlated your symptoms with your rhythm? Have you been checked for asthma? Impossible to say what's wrong without knowing test results but, even if "everything is alright", your doc can help with your symptoms. Are you stressed?(Anxiety can cause marked breathlessness).

Caffien and sugar: Most of soft drinks have caffien and sugar, what you are going through is a stimulating effect and increase in your blood sugar which can cause increase in anxiety and restlessness. It is mimicing a panic attack. Go easy of soft drinks, you will be alright.

ABNormal: You need to see an internist or Emergency room right away. I cannot tell if you are having arrhythmias of if you are septic from an infection. You need to have a Holter monitor unless an abnormal heart beat is found on ECG monitor in Doctors office. You need blood tests and a full Physical examination. Get to it.

Palpitations: Were you suggested for a Holter or event monitor? I would ask your physician if these tests can be done w you which can potentially diagnose extra beats.
