Possible OCD : You may fave obsessive compulsive disorder . You perform ritualistic  behaviors to ward off certain phobic worries . Very treatable with medication and cognitive behaviorsl therapy. See your doctor.

how do you explain the difference between a body focused repetitive behavior disorder and an ocd relying mostly on compulsion? what distinguishes it?

Any excessive: thinking (obsession) or behaviors (compulsions) that interfere w/function or comfort in life could be considered negative.  "Positive addictions" is a term coined by Wm. Glasser, MD, and has to do w/behaviors we enjoy that are non competitive (even w/oneself).  These can include, running, sports, paying an instrument, etc. A mental health pro can help, not drugs only.  Peace and good health.

Examples below:: Preoccupation with your physical appearance. Strong belief that you have an abnormality or defect in your appearance that makes you ugly. Frequent examination of yourself in the mirror or, conversely, avoidance of mirrors altogether. Belief that others take special notice of your appearance in a negative way. The need to seek reassurance about your appearance from others. Excessive grooming.

It's a Rx question: Behavioral Health would more relate to some form of therapy. Discuss the side effects AND (importantly!) the proper dosage changes w/ the doctor who prescribed. This is a big part of their work. Best!

how long does it take your body to break down   your body fat from anorexic behaviors? ex. eating 50% recommended calories, 15% body fat, male, 180 lb

Bad idea: (semi) starvation will stress breakdown of protein for several weeks. Better to increase calories, protein intake, and increase calorie output (physical activity). Nothing to extreme. See md, rd, and therapist (or psychiatrist).

In complex ways: Maintaining body weight is an elaborate dance between the competing factors of genetics, hormones, environmental cues, food components, eating habits, and exercise. Behavior modification is complex, and effective recommendations are tailored to your specific situation. Common modifications include regular meals of diverse foods, lots of plants, few starches/sugars. Exercise 20 minutes 3x per week.

is it normal for cognitive behavioral therapy/exposure for anxiety to make you feel tired and kinda down at the start? i can imagine fighting comfort/anxiety is stressful on the body, make sense?

Hang in there: No therapy results in a steady consistent improvement as there are ups and downs as you proceed.  The goal is long-term, where you have less negative days and more positive days.  It will take some time, be patient and work hard, the results are well worth it.

what is rem behavior disorder and can it look like a seizure and cause eyes to roll and a body to be limp and not be able to wake someone. i?

REM sleep disorder: Rem behavior disorder:  normal the body is paralyzed in rem sleep, which the person has vivid dreams.  Rem behavior disorder causes the person to act out these dreams because the person looses the normal paralysis typical of rem sleep.  Sometimes people can be quite violent when they act out dreams.  Limpness is generally not a part of this disorder.
