It : It sounds as if you may have high blood pressure. I wonder if you have been to a drug store and checked your reading? In any event you need to see a doctor asap as these are all worrying signs of elevated blood pressure and stress on the heart. Go to the er right away if you have sustained chest pain accompanied by shortness of breath, radiation of pain to your neck or arm or rapid heart rate.

Adaptation: It takes a minute for your pup to adjust and your eye to adapt to changes in light. If this problem is still there after adaptation (a few minutes) it can be due to other problems. A small cataract in the center if your vision, for instance, will seem worse in bright light.

Several: If neurological, consider migraine auras, and less likely, transient ischemia in posterior brain circulation, but instead might this be vitreous floaters, retinal or vitreous detachments, and best to see ophthalmologist to get diagnosed?

Not usually.: But, of course, it depends on how bright the light and how long you stare. Cool compresses are even less likely to cause these problems. If you are having changes in your vision, please see a board certified ophthalmologist in your area for a quick examination. Eye sight is a precious thing, and should be protected.

i have been having cloudy and blurred vision outdoors under bright sunlight for 5 months. seen an eye specialist in thailand that concluded it was dry eyes 3 months ago. i was given sterile eye drops. nothing has improved since.what should i do next?

Ophthalmologist: Your eye symptoms warrant an examination by an ophthalmologist. Floaters are often benign and a nuisance,but showers of them can be serious. I'm concerned about left eye pain and visual disturbance.

Severity:  Blurry vision is a symptom of many ocular conditions, including but not limited to: refractive error, dry eyes, conjunctivitis, corneal disease, cataract, inflammation, infection, eyelid disease, medications, neurological &amp; systemic diseases. Dim vision is in itself more worrisome in that neurological (Neuropathies)  &amp; circulatory conditions (occlusions) have to be considered. An eye exam helpful

Allergy: Sounds like you are making mucus in your eyes from allergy. Ask your ophthalmologist for Pataday or similar drop- very effective. Keep your lids clean with baby shampoo and warm water.

Astigmatism?: Irregular astigmatism not corrected by hard lenses. Or, corneal edema due to poor oxygen to cornea? Or some corneal warpage from the lens?

Too vague: Need more info. It could mean nothing or death is imminent.
