The color of veins: If you are overweight this could be the early signs of stretch marks. If these are just veins and you  have not noticed them before then I am at a loss as to what to say.  If you have pain, redness or swelling you may wan to see a physician.

Take the test: If you want to know if you are pregnant, take a test. In today's world you do not need to wonder if you are pregnant or not based on symptoms. Pregnancy tests are available at any pharmacy and in minutes you will have your answer. They can detect a pregnancy 7-10 days after conception. The best time to take one is when you miss your period.

Result of Wt loss!: It is due to loss of fat under the skin, and as the underlying muscles get bigger with training, the veins become prominent. The veins are located just under the skin, then fascia, under which the muscles are located. 
I am sure yeins become prominent elsewhere else also, but one sees them easily on the thighs and chestwall, while those on the back or back of thighs/legs are not seen easily.

: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, and physical examination. Overweight is often associated with prominent or varicose veins. Lowing weight is imperative, not easy, but essential.

my son was running about a week ago and he felt a stinging pain in his leg. a "bruise" developed after that with blue veins around it. im not sure if it's a normal bruise or a blood clot. he says that it feels different and sore.

Bee sting?: If there is a stinger in the area, please see your PCP for removal, apply a cold pack and watch for signs of infection such as pus, swelling and redness.

Refluxing veins.: Varicose veins are due to leaking valves(called reflux) most commonly in the saphenous system.  To treat these you must first undergo a venous reflux ultrasound to make the diagnosis and determine the proper treatment.  Medical management would be the use of support hose but this is only masking the problem.  Laser closure of the leaking valves and micro incisions to remove the vv's is the ideal.
