Too much restriction: These are signs of a low blood pressure or blood sugar. You may have restricted your calorie intake too much. It's better to have supervised weight loss (by a physician) that incorporates physical activity in conjunction with diet changes. Anovulation?: You might not have ovulated (yet?) in this cycle. It would be nice to know your normal menstrual pattern. Ovulation normally occur between day 12-15 of a menstrual cycle. Of course there are deviations from normal often.

Not in rearview?: If ophtho does not have an answer with recurrent symptoms, then you should either consult a neurologist or perhaps a neuroophthalmologist. No one dr knows all, and if your eye dr doesn't have an answer, ask another.

OPK: Once you surge, you will have a positive for a few days afterward.  You also may have a short luteal phase.  It might be of value to get a mid cycle pelvic US to get a follicle count and see if any appear mature (typically 15-22mm in size).  You may want to change the time of day you test with OPK also.  Some surge at night instead of morning.

Visual symptoms: Please see an opthalmologist.  The flashes of light in the dark MAY indicated a retina problem.  He/she will help you.  Peace and good health.

: Get a referral to a neurologist or ophthalmologist for an exam and other testing, as visual "flashes" as described should be evaluated.

Test once: Once you get a positive ovulation test then you do not need to keep doing it. The hormone that triggers the test will linger around. Save you money. After a positive test then stop.
