i've been bleeding heavy and having big clots for a month. i'm still very weak and still bleeding and clotting a lot . do i need a blood transfusion?

Get checked: A simple blood test will tell you if you are anemic and how severe it is (a CBC or "blood count"  to measure your hemoglobin). Women with ongoing bleeding should take supplemental iron to help regenerate blood. It's not likely to require a transfusion from heavy periods and ongoing bleeding. More important is getting checked to find out why you are bleeding so heavily. Please see a gynecologist.

i had blood transfusions as an infant because i was a preemie what are the chances of me developing a blood clot in pregnancy? no history blood disor

Not related: Having blood transfusions years ago does not put you at increased risk for blood clots at any point in your life. If your personal and family histories are negative for clots, risk is the same as any other woman. If there is a family history of blood clots or miscarriage, then talk to OB about testing you for any increased risk.

blood transfusions 4x n a year, 5-6 units each time what could cause server anemia like this when no bleedouts can b found etc. taking coumadin (warfarin) 4 clots?

Hemolysis: There are multiple possibilities. Blood loss can be present without visible bleeding. Your severe anemia sounds like you are not producing enough red cells, regardless of whether you are bleeding or not. You should see a hemotologist for a full workup, including a bone marrow biopsy.

does good oxygen levels mean i don't have blood clots?

: Not necessarily. Having blood clots in leg or pelvic veins would not affect your oxygen level.

why isnt sleeping for 8 hours a risk factor for blood clots but inactive lifestyle, long car rides/flying are?

Accepted Answer

: When you sleep, you are not immobile for  the entire 8 hours whereas in a long car ride or a long plane ride, you are more immobile. When you sleep, your legs move during the 8 hours except when you are in REM sleep which is not the whole time. In a plane, moving around during the flight, when able, is helpful to try to prevent clots but this is more difficult to do in a car. Frequent stops helps!

flowy period.like just blood. now it's not much blood, just huge blood clots! i don't think this is normal. what should i do?

Gynecologist: Blood clots usually indicate excessive blood loss. One episode may be a normal variation, however, if it recurs, you should consult your gynecologist. You should take oral iron and multivitamin supplements to prevent anemia.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

my cycle isn't in a normal flow where blood comes out naturally, the blood comes in big blood clots that look very dark red. should i be concerned?

Yes: Big blood clots are not normal for menstrual blood as it indicates arterial an not venous bleeding. Make an appointment with a GYN MD to find out the cause of this abnormal bleeding pattern.

i don't exercise i basically sit all day on my phone.. now i'm scares that i have blood clots in my leg.. can you feel blood clots, & how can u tell ?

Doppler test is: a way to determine if you have blood clots.  Please see your doc who will determine if you need that test or not.  If not, maybe your anxiety is manifesting in fears about you health.  This is fairly common and very treatable by a mental health professional. Just blood : Some people pass big clots of blood when they have a period. Most do not. Small clots of blood are normal. Large clots are not.

i have cysts that burst in my overies but the docs say it isn't endomotriosis , but i have the pain , the cysts and the blood clots , what could it be?

Well : There are a couple other kind of ovary and cyst corpus luteum cyst can be hemorrhagic. See gynecologist for specific diagnosis and treatment
