How do you FEEL?: Many people run a high CRP for no reason. It may be genetic, and hopefully you know that the reference ranges are set so that several % of healthy folks fall outside. As a lab specialist, I don't even think folks should be screened -- but in today's medicine, physicians may need to "cover their butts" with this kind of unnecessary testing.

Can't tell.: Levels can't be judged without units or context.  These numbers might be wonderful for one person and horrible for another.  If you have a rheumatic disease let your doctor worry about  the numbers while you pay attention to the symptoms.

?right units?: I am unfamiliar with CRP being expressed in mmol/l - this is usually expressed in mg/dl or mg/l. If the number you wrote is right, a CRP of 0.2 is normal range. If you don't typically eat after dinner and then sleep 8 hours, you fast for almost 13 hours a day are are just fine - so no, this not likely to change the result much if at all.

Biomarker: High sensitivity CRP first of all not just CRP is a surrogate risk factor for developing heart disease. Age, cholesterol, fam hx, and tobacco use are the main risk factors for heart disease.  Having said that, there was a study that looked at heart events in patients supposed to be at low risk based on chol and traditional risk factors, and found high CRP.  That is when this whole thing started.

Not diagnostic : CRP (C-reactive protein) is a protein that is increased in diseases in which there is inflammation. A slightly increased level of CRP is compatible with both sLE and RA, but is NOT diagnostic of either. Furthermore, there are many other causes of such a small elevation of CRP.

Unlikely: Elevate CRP is generally a sign of inflammation in the body. Unless the food or drink causes inflammation, e.g., taking gluten by a gluten sensitive person, food and drink do not raise CRP.

Hard to guess: Normal, healthy people don't get these blood tests done, so it is hard to know what's going on without seeing the whole picture. That means one's primary care doctor can discuss the lab results and take it from there. Usually he is the ordering doctor, and usually there are more test results. When the results are quite elevated, not just slightly, the patient may have inflammation or infection.

Marks inflammation: CRP is a non-specific marker of inflammation.  Also depends on the normal range for this blood test.  May be mildly elevated if the lab range is 1-10, or higher if normal is 0-1.0.   May be due a multiple of reasons. Can be related to heart, vs.Poss. infection, autoimmune conditions but none is for certain by only looking at CRP. Rec. discussion/follow up with your MD.

had blood test for esr and crp again 3rd one and it's gone back very high again would this need testing again to see if levels dropped or not?

First the cause: You have to address the cause of the abnormal levels first..check with your doctor to plan a good treatment strategy
