Diovan (valsartan) and tea: The answer to your question is "Yes", it is safe. Remember that you are taking a diuretic, HCT. If you drink too much tea, or other fluid, you will counter act the diuretic effect of the HCT. Good luck.

All pretty low: These are all angiotensin receptor blockers, a class of medications with particularly low incidences of adverse effects.  They have some variability in efficacy.  Follow kidney function, potassium levels and blood pressure.

There is no interact: We do not use daflon in us as it is not available but there is no reason why you you can not use them together, if it is available wherever you are.

i read that valsartan lowers blood pressure by 8-10 points but when i took 80mg i went down to 107/60s from 130s/80s after a couple of months. now i take 40mg and get around 118-123/70s. only 80mg is fda approved for hypertension so what's going on?

: Every body is unique and responds to medication differently. Many factors contribute to high blood pressure. If you made other changes to your lifestyle at the same time while adding this medication, this may have been the reason for a more pronounced blood reassure lowering. Rejoice that you have to take less medicine and continue on with your life.

Probably no effect: There are no good research studies of the effects of chamomile tea on blood pressure in humans. It is probably harmless, but also without benefit on bp. We do know that there are many medications that can lower BP and prevent heart attack, stroke and kidney disease. Many of these have very few side effects and are generic. Hope this helps.

Yes.: There are many Calcium channel blockers, angiotensin receptor blockers, diuretics, beta blockers, and ACE inhibitors, each with advantages and disadvantages.  Consult with your doctor for the one that is best suited for your case.

Yes if under control: Your doctor will tell you if your BP is controlled enough and stable enough but yes, people with controlled hypertension should stay active as tolerated with moderate aerobics and strengthening. Just have to avoid dehydration which would make the BP overreact to the meds.

As your doctor: likely told you, developing a cough with ACE (angiotensin converting enzyme) inhibitors like lisinopril is quite common. Often switching to the ARBs helps. Dry skin/itchiness is not commonly reported as a side effect of Valsartan so my opinion is it is not related. Aggressively treat the dry skin with sensitive skin moisturizers. If needed, do a trial off Valsartan under your Doctor's supervision.
