Oxygen sat curve: If you look at the p50 or oxygen saturation curve, anything above 90% is ok for the hemoglobin to unload as it gets into the tissues and supply them. As the curve goes down to 75% about pao2 of 45, this nears the saturation in the veins where unloading of oxygen to the tissues including heart muscles becomes difficult and there will be eventual death as it gets lower than that.

Yes.: At your age chances of lack of circulation is unlikely unless there are preexisting conditions like diabetes or rheumatologic problems like sle, etc.. Smoking can also cause it as do some drugs that cause  vasoconstriction or closing off of blood vessels.

It depends on the de: It means there is less than normal oxygen level in the blood. If the lungs are diseased, oxygen transfer from the breathed air to the blood is impaired. Normally o2 saturation is between 95% to 100%. Anything lower than 90% saturation requires oxygen supplementation.

Possibilities...: There are many possible disorders that could have these test results. You should have pulmonary function tests since a ct scan does not tell anything about the function of the pulmonary system; only that the lungs look ok. Musculoskeletal disorders can have test results as you describe. You likely need to see a lung specialist to do a work-up and find out why your pulse ox is low.

: Recumbent position will generally decrease oxygen saturation, but "92-94 %" is still considered normal.  A drop from upright may be due to activity or more shallow breaths when recumbent and does not necessarily indicate "lung disease".

Details?: Everyone's oxygen saturation fluctuates regardless of position. When it's being tested, you must remember to keep breathing. This may sound overly simple, but people have a normal tendency hold their breath. An easy way to screen for phrenic n damage is to do a simple chest x-ray. Radiation dose is trivial. The hemidiaphragm will be elevated on the side that has damage, if present.

Birth History?: Are you testing your baby's oxygen level at home?  How many days old is the baby?  Was the birth vaginal? Were there any complications? What was the birth weight? How is the baby feeding?  How frequent are his stools?  Does he show signs of respiratory distress?  Does he have a heart murmur?  The answer to your question definitely depends on all of the above answers!

7mo w/acrocyanosis. per dr, heart & lungs ok, good perfusion, 100% oxygen saturation. i keep her warm but i still see her blue/purple. she's fair skin?

Acrocyanosis: If the baby is growing well and gaining weight and the oxygen saturation that was measured was 100% (in one of the feet), I would not worry about acrocyanosis
