i had some constipation so my dr said to do a miralax gatorade prep. i chose red because im not doing a colonoscopy. my colon is clean but the liquid coming out is red. its been several times now. could this be the gatorade or is it blood?

Likely food dye: If you are not having severe cramping or passing clumps of mucous, the red color is most likely from the dye in the Gatorade. It should clear in a day or two.  Bleeding high in the intestine usually gives a black color, and blood in the distal colon or rectum is usually stringy and mixed with mucous and stool and the watery part of diarrhea is not red.

i had a colon advantage blood test that came back positive - what does this mean? i have had this test before but have always had negative results

Not a recognized: Test. Did a doctor order this test, or did you get it on your own? For approved tests to detect colon cancer see the site given below. It would help to see your doctor with the test results so that s/he may check out if it is even a valid test.

i had part of my colon removed because i had paylops that was 2yra ago and now i have diaria and blood and i get diaria everything i eat i'm 52 yrs ol?

Certain kinds: `of polyps can CAUSE diarrhea! You need to have your colon checked out again! Consult with the surgeon who did your procedure or your Primary Care Provider for a referral and do it as soon as practicable!

does colon resect surgery result in blood in the urine?

Not directly: If there has been surgical trauma to a ureter or bladder there could be some blood in the urine, but the removal of all or part of the colon with re-anastamosis or stoma formation would not cause hematuria. Trauma from Foley placement could cause microscopic or even gross hematuria. Good luck.

Usually not: In advanced cases, tumor markers can become elevated, but even then it can also be normal.  Sometimes, when colon cancer bleeds heavily enough, doctors can see anemia from blood tests, investigation of which includes evaluation for bleeding from GI tract, which sometimes can be caused by colon cancer.

None: Blood in an ostomy punch can be many things. Is it a colostomy or ileostomy? Why was the surgery done, history cancer or diverticulitis or colitis? How long ago was the ostomy surgery? Bleeding does indicate need for a doctor evaluation. Can be ostomy appliance irritation, colitis, etc. There is no cancer staging associated with intestinal bleeding.

Depends: Some times colon cancer can cause anemia and abnormal liver functions but not sensitive and specific enough. Cea is used to moniter patients with a history of colon cancer but not to make a diagnosis.
