during us exam, can a radiologist see if a breast cyst countains blood? how can i know if my breast cyst countains blood! thanks

Yes : An ultrasound can show whether the cyst has blood vessels feeding it. That's what matters, not whether it contains blood. So yes, a breast ultrasound shows many characteristics of the cyst: size, shape, whether it has solid parts, blood flow, how easy it is to compress, etc. This all helps the radiologist know if it's suspicious for cancer and a biopsy is needed.

the radiologist said that the breast cyst i have is nothing bad or to worry about, that is just fluid or milk, is still the same size don't hurt, its ok?

Yes, its ok: As long as the radiologist believes the lesion is fluid filled, there is a low likelihood of breast cancer.  Also if the lesion has remained stable after several ultrasounds, it is even more encouraging.

We usually only aspirate (remove the fluid) if the fluid filled lesion is palpable and/or causing discomfort or if the fluid filled lesion has evidence of debris or solid tissue inside.

Possibly: But follow the advice of your radiologist and gynecologist.  Depending on the specifics they may recommend additional or more frequent testing, aspiration, needle biopsy, or excisional biopsy.

No such concerns: Breast cysts are deeply located and protected by the breast tissues..., so there is no such risk or concerns.

No: The breast is given a local anesthetic, a small needle is inserted and the fluid is aspirated. The fluid is sent to the lab for evaluation. The whole procedure can be performed in the office.

Yes: They are more common in women aged 35-50 but can be found at any age.  Most breast cysts are benign. The might require drainage if they are painful, large, or just simply if you want to make them go away for piece of mind.
Cyst fluid that is bloody is of concern but almost any other color would be of no concern.

Too small : A breast cyst that is 3mm is usually too small to aspirate.  They are usually observed to see if they get larger, then they can be addressed or disappear on their own.

Very common...: Breast cysts are extremely common, especially in early adulthood. However, it's important to know the type of breast cyst so that we know how to best deal with it. An ultrasound is usually needed to characterize the cyst. Occasionally, a cyst will need to be drained for diagnosis or relief of pain for the patient. Most of the time however, there is nothing special to do and we leave them alone.

Probably not serious: Breast cysts are almost always benign and not deadly at all.  Especially if painful, a breast cyst should be aspirated with a needle (usually an office procedure).  The fluid can be sent for pathologic analysis but that can be confusing as benign cyst fluid contains cells that can be confused with malignant cells. If cysts continue to recur after aspiration, they should be excised.
