Breast sore/ bleed: Get a mammogram with  sonogram. may be mastitis , pre-menstrual, adenoma, cyst   but have to evaluate for breast mass/ cancer even in young adults . F/u/ with breast surgeon in the next week

i had morning sickness through out my pregnancy in 2018, after i gave birth i was fine but 8 months later when i stopped breastfeeding the throwing up came back, now i throw up blood and my chest feels raw after every meal. please help me, i'm worse ?

Ulcer: I would suggest seeing your GP asap to refer your for an endoscopy to see where the bleeding is arising from.

i breastfeed & today i tried on 15 different bras as well as a baby carrier w/out a bra on(naked) the carrier had a red stain on it and didn't notice until after i took it off. my breasts have cracked nipples. if this was blood could i get hiv? risk?

The nipple pain: Is not related to the bleeding, also called hemptosyis.  There a few reasons why she may vomit blood but all of them require a doctor visit.  In the meantime get Omeprazole 40 mg per day, highest chance is an ulcer.  Get a pregnancy test, could be recurrent nausea of pregnancy and elevated hormones, but bring her in, she sounds sick.

Get checked: Blood in the urine can be from many different things. It could be anything from infection to kidney stones to cancer. The source of bleeding could be anywhere from the kidneys to the bladder. I would recommend work up with your primary care doctor.

It's embryology: All humans start off as essentially female in the womb no matter what your chromosome arrangement is.  After several weeks, if you have a Y chromosome, testosterone kicks in and it changes the chemistry in the genitals and the brain.  But the nipples are already there...so they stay.

Hygeine/moisturize: Keep yourself clean and add your breastmilk or a lanolin ointment topically to your nipples to keep them in good condition.

why do nipples itch while breastfeeding?

Accepted Answer

Different things: It could be dermatitis or yeast from staying wet much of the time.  You can air dry them between feedings or use nipple shields that keep them from direct contact with wet clothing.  You can find those at a breastfeeding supply store.  You can put lotrimin (clotrimazole) af cream on them 3 times a day for a week to clear up yeast.  You just wipe off any excess before feeding, but don't worry about a small amount.

Not in most locals: State rules vary but most require a physician, pa or certified nurse practitioner to order any lab. Most consultants work alongside some of these professionals & can recommend that it be done.
