Not per se: Why are you having clots in the nail is more important than the clot per se.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

Depends on where!: I'm guessing you mean venous. If they are limited to your hands and have not had previous arm surgery you can probably be treated with NSAID therapy. You need to see a hand specialist or vascular surgeon.  If it were arterial you probably would not be typing this.

The : The timing makes all the difference.  As a fracture is healing, it lays down abundant new bone, called callus.  Over time, the bone will remodel and the bump will go down.  The callus usually forms within a couple of months, but can take over a year to remodel.

If the bump came on suddenly and was associated with severe pain, then you may have a hardware failure.  If the bone doesn't heal, the metal will fatigue, sort of like bending a paperclip until it breaks.  Once the bone heals, it absorbs the forces around the metal and repairs itself.

I would talk to your surgeon and have the area evaluated and x-rayed.

i have a couple tiny lumps in the veins on the back of my hand. they don't hurt. what could they be? blood clots?

Unlikely: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without examining you but blood clots are unlikely. You may watch and wait, if the lump doubles in size, becomes painful, ulcerates, or other lumps become enlarged, or you develop fever, or lose weight, you should see a doctor.

No: Being around second hand smoke, or kissing a smoker, should not have any relationship to seizures or to blood clots. In other words, a person who has seizures or has blood clots inside vessels should be checked for causes and not feel such conditions are related to second hand smoke.

Treat the thromboph: Anytime the veins are inflamed, there is a potential for thrombosis and thrombi can break off and travel to the right side of the heart and from there to the lung. However, the balancing system of thrombolysis can  dissolve the thrombus and anticoagulant drugs can prevent it from forming in the first place. Not every thromboembolus leads to death, especially if you have healthy lungs.

Way too long: Please seek prompt medical conditions. This has been going on for a very long time and the clots are a large size. You could easily become anemic - this needs evaluation.

Check it out: Make sure her thyroid and other hormones are balanced. Low thyroid could be responsible .
