Not good news: There is bleeding and clot in the brain will lead to major problems and will need all kind of care.prognosis in my experience is not good

Stroke: Prognosis depends upon the extent of brain damage so impossible to tell. Hang in there.  Brain is complicated but more plasticity at a young age.  Prognosis has to do with both clinical course and findings on brain scans.

Close F/up: After a stroke due to a blood clot aka-embolic stroke, one should be carefully followed by a doctor. This includes blood thinning medication and monitoring, physical and occupational therapy and in cases of speech impairment - speech and swallow therapy. The severity and the amount of total recovery  or lack of recovery from the stroke dictates the length and time of follow up and treatment.

Stroke risk: The research doesn't prove that smoking weed will cause a stroke. However, it provides the strongest evidence that  smoking or cannabis use is closely associated with a doubling of stroke risk. Quit smoking for good with help from your PCP.

New technology: Depending on how and when the blood clot formed, newer technologies (suction aspirators and stentreiver devices) allow endovascular neurosurgeons to enter the brain arteries and remove the clots. Generally speaking, the earlier the better and most artery territories are best treated before t6 hours.

No: It is not a useful test for looking at the caliber of the artery to assess for risk of stroke or forming a blood clot.
Ct angiography or cerebral angiography would be better tests for this problem.

Hard to say: The pre-illness health, speed of recognition and early care all play into this status.The physicians at the bedside have a better access to the information needed to answer this question.

If I knew the: answer to that question I would be a lot "higher up" on the scale than a mere mortal physician...if it suits you PRAYER is sometimes helpful....the doctors taking care of this man should be keeping his relatives posted!!!

Ablation /vertigo: Please follow up with your cardiologist today. May be a heart rate issue , versus clot .Call you cardiologist today and get a EKG possibly Holter/ echocardiogram and assessment

Get all facts: This does not sound like a treatable illness, and it may be to your physician's credit that he/she was up-front with you. If you are the person making the decisions, you have a right to full information within the limits set by the patient's previous directives.
