can a damaged nerve in my spine, damaged by a blood clot post op, be fixed to stop the severe pain levels. 20 yrs ago, 
in wheelchair now, 52 yes old?

Dorsal column stimulation: Have you looked into a dorsal column stimulator? In my opinion, is the most reliable, efficient and successful way to treat chronic nerve related pain, especially if it comes from spinal cord related injury. I would consult the pain specialist concerning this.

i have spine problems & spend a lot  of time on my chair. is it really possible to develop blood clots on my legs & if so, what are the symptoms?

Yes, its possible: Calf pain or tenderness, calf swelling, sometimes redness of the leg.

i have upper arm swelling between my shoulder and elbow. i have had several blood tests, 3 mri's (brain, throat, cervical spine) and ultrasound of my arm for blood clot, chest x-ray and everything is normal. any thoughts?

Muscular: It sounds like a muscle issue. I'm not sure why a brain or throat MRI would be done for upper arm problem. If it is painful or affecting your function, i would have it checked out again.

smoked for a year on yaz inconsistently. stopped a few months ago, does my risk of blood clots go back to normal now? or does it take longer

Yes somewhat : Any time you are on birth control your risk always goes high but quitting smoking can make difference ,

i had an undetected blood clot in my calf and it went away but my calf is now bigger than the other one.  will it go back to normal size? suggestions?

Get evaluated: This may be swelling from a vein obstructed by scar tissue where the thrombus was. This is familiar. Your physician can help you address this.

can blood clots be in the back of the thigh?

Yes of course: well of course you can have a clot as long as there is artery or vein
clot in artery very rare in young people.
clot in vein is more common in young people specially women,because of birth control pills,pregnancy,factor five deficiency, etc.......
there is a vein in your thigh, so if you are concern get venous Doppler.

Only way to: Know for sure is with a test called venous duplex doppler ultrasound.  If you do have a clot, it can break off and travel to lungs, a condition called pulmonary embolism.  This is a serious condition, could be fatal.  Treatment is immediate anticoagulation, so get to a doctor if there is any question of blood clot, or deep vein thrombophlebitis.

if my d-dimer blood test came back normal, that means i dont have a blood clot, right?

D-Dimer: not necessarily but about 99.5% chance you don't.

d dimer come back slightly elevated one day then normal d dimer next day does this mean i have a blood clot?

Probably not: Even d-dimer is elevated it does not mean that you have blood clot. CT scan of the lung , physical examination findings and  other tests such as ekg, chest x-ray and arterial blood gas reading all together taken into consideration by the health care provider when they make a diagnosis. So, most probably you do not have blood clot.

last year i had a blood clot in my upper thigh now gone but now that pain is back again could i have another blood clot the same area ?

Possibly: See your doctor and have another ultrasound done. If there is another clot, you need to be evaluated to make sure your blood does not clot abnormally fast.
