Yes it's possible!: It's possible that swelling from the injury causing obstruction to venous flow (coupled with immobility of the leg due to injury) can both lead to clot formation. The problem is that swelling at the calf and below would be expected from injury alone. Blood clot below the knee is less worrisome, but if it spreads higher, then treatment would be warranted.  Ultrasound would be best for diagnosis.

Doubtful: Classic findings with blood clot is increased pain and tenderness with stretching of the calf muscle. If the stretching of the gastrocnemius  and solieus muscles improves the discomfort than that would be evidence against a blood clot

Signs : Signs of a blood clot include calf aching, cramping, swelling, and sometimes pain in the upper leg or even groin.  Pain is usually worse when the leg is hanging down.  The pain is in the soft part of the lower leg.  Chest pain and shortness of breath are signs of a clot that has gone to the lungs.  Risk factors for deep venous thrombosis include oral contraceptives use, blood disorders such as factor c, s, or other blood disorders, family history, obesity, immobilization such as in a cast or a patient at bedrest, and travel.   Diagnosis is made by an ultrasound study (duplex) of the leg.

Less likely: Blood clots are usually associated with some degree of swelling due to blood pooling caused by the clotted vein. 
Also, bilateral venous clotting is highly doubtful, so i'd look for another plausible explanation.

PCP: It is better to consult your PCP and let her/him decide if additional investigation is warranted.

Get out of bed!: With this problem you don't need to be bedridden. You can be up and active. Continue to take the anticoagulants for three months. At that point you will need a repeat ultrasound. Wear the compression hose.
