Gas created by bacterial action during digestion is often collected in the transverse colon that peaks (when standing) in the left upper abdomen. You can sometimes vent the gas if you lay down with your pelvis higher than your head (fart it out). A diet change or probiotics can reduce any routine gas.

Drinking hot water or applying a hot water bottle to the abdomen helps to break down the gas and help you pass it. Taking simethicone after meals prevents gas build-up. See a gastroenterologist for evaluation and treatment if symptoms persist.

: Sounds like you have a touch of a viral illness affecting your GI tract.  This will usually resolve on its own in a few days.  Make sure to get lots of fluids - 3 waters followed by 1 serving of electrolyte solution (Gatorade , Powerade,  etc). Don't starve yourself - you need nutrition to heal gut. Go high protein. complex carbs, and avoid roughage like veggies and fruits until gut gets normal.

Bloating : Dairy products, especially those that are high in fat can cause a reduced movement of food through your intestinal tract. This results in the bloating, gas formation, uncomfortable sensations. Also high fat meals, can stimulate the gallbladder, and if there are stones in the gallbladder or it can cause discomfort as well. Important to see your doctor to help determine what exactly is happening.

You may be becoming intolerant of lactose in milk.High sugar diet or sugar substitutes like  sorbitol, mannitol, and xylitol cause gas.Excessive swallowing of air. Sudden increase in dietary fiber (your body adjusts after a few days). Try fasting then adding back foods one at a time to figure out if a food may be the problem. Alpha-galactosidase (beano).
