i just finished taking metronidazole. now i have white bump looking blisters on the back of my tongue. is this related? they don't hurt... what is it?

Lingual lesions: These may be entirely normal, but the best thing to do is to have a doctor or a dentist examine these and tell you what they think. Without seeing them would only be guessing.

Enlarged bumps : Very often the bumps or blisters you may be seeing are just enlarges taste buds known as circumvallate papillae . These are the largest papillae on the tongue and at times can become enlarged. Having a dentist evaluate anything that you feel has changed or has recently appeared is always recommended.

so i've noticed two or three blister like bumps on the back of my tongue. no pain but it feels like a popcorn kernel is stuck on my tongue any ideas?

Its normal: The taste buds are sensory taste receptors found on the tongue, throat, and palate that help form the perception of taste.The tongue has several types of these taste buds (which number around 10,000).  Most people, if they examine the posterior portion of the tongue will fine quite large "blister like bumps".  This is part of normal anatomy.

hello, i'm just asking if i should see a doctor about this. on the back of my tongue there are two domeish shape blister looking things kind of side by side, they dont hurt or anything, they are just there. ive had them for about two months or so?

Tongue changes : It's not possible to be sure without seeing it, but you maybe seeing a normal taste bud. In order to be sure you can ask a doctor

No: Scarlet fever is a fine red rash on the body that feels rough like a fine sandpaper. See doctor for an evaluation.

Mucocele possibly: The bump on the side of your mouth might be a mucocele. It is a clear bump filled with salvia. Caused when the duct to a minor salivary gland gets clogged and the saliva backs up. Most common on the lower lip but can occur elsewhere in the mouth. Ussually resolve on their own. Some times large ones require surgical removal. Bumps on the back of your tongue are probably normal vallate taste buds.

i have one blister on the back of my throat that is white. it is painful to swallow and the back of my tongue is sore as well.

Could be: A virus, strep, or drainage blister. Try Acetaminophen /Ibuprofen, salt water gargles. If no better get checked in person for  the above infections. Good luck

STD screen : Sorry you are not feeling well. You need a full history and physical exam in urgent care. Get a full urine and blood sexually transmitted disease screening. May or may not be Herpes. Get partner tested treated ASAP as well. Go to ER if urgent care not available. Good luck.
