Need to see it: This is a hard question to answer without seeing the rash.  There are several things that can cause blisters on the hands and feet.  Look up dishydrotic eczema, syphilis, and hand, foot, and mouth disease.  Those are a few common causes.  A doctor would have to see the blisters and maybe do testing to know the cause. usually we use topical steroid cream but the otc steroids do not penetrate well.

Hard to be specific: Hand foot mouth syndrome is caused by several strains of virus &amp; can be quite diverse.Variation can range from no outbreak or fever at all to significant blistering in h/f/m/anal &amp;up the legs &amp;arms.Isolated lesions on the legs &amp; arms without the typical grayish oval lesions on the back of the hands or feet likely represent something else.

HFM disease: Hand Foot Mouth Disease is a viral infection during which rashes appear usually to the palms, soles, and mouth.  The appearance of the rash can be somewhat variable, but healing with darker pigmentation and a small scab or scale is not uncommon, and not dangerous.  Permanent scarring should not occur provided the scales are not picked at.
