Change your pill: Hopefully you are on a birth control pill. If so, we are in business. Every pill has a ratio of estrogen to progesterone. It can be 70:30 or it can be 20:80. The trick is to figure out what your body runs on the best. In your case, you need a pill with more estrogen to lend more support to the building lining - it is shedding too soon. Talk to your fp about a higher-estrogen mix in your pill.

Could be normal.: The color of menstrual blood is usually of no clinical significance.  Due to strong muscular contractions during orgasm/ sex - it may have expelled residual blood from your uterus (left over from menses). There is also the possibility of trauma during sexual intercourse. Take care.

There are many options available to help regulate the menstrual cycle. Schedule a visit.
