You should contact your surgeon as only (s)he knows the size of your uterus, possible fibroids and any other factors that would affect your post-op course.  Ultimately it will depend on those factors and how heavy the bleeding is currently.  Please call your surgeon and speak with the nurse.

Ablation is a safe and effective procedure and a good option for many women with excessive bleeding. A common "risk" is failure to work effectively.

Abaltion as that doc knows your case, u can have some bleeding as all of the endometrium may not be scarred down yet, it should not be heavy, if u were my pt and I do ablations in office i would see u for an exam and do an ultrasound to see how the endometrium looks.

You need to follow through with a call to your MD who did the ablation to be sure there is no infection or other problem with the procedure. Periods with bleeding still can occur post ablation in a small percentage of cases.

There are a lot of causes for irregular menstrual bleeding. An endometrial ablation does not always work forever and it does not mean that new issues can not pop up. I would schedule a follow up visit with an Obgyn for a medical history, an examination and pelvic sonogram. Then based on the findings other testing can be done as needed.

How long do u need to be off work after endometrial ablation? do u have a lot of pain and bleeding afterward?

An endometrial ablation is an outpatient procedure. In my patient population many patients go back to work the next day. Often, I will do their ablation on a Friday so they have the weekend and go back to work on Monday. Recovery is individual and so use your best judgement but this an outpatient procedure and recovery is quick.

Likely that was your period since your about one month from your endometrial ablation. Track your cycles over the next few months so your doctor can analyze the effectiveness of the ablation.

Having endometrial ablation soon. zoladex (goserelin) injection tomorow. heavy menstral bleeding  for 4 days. doc says take utovlan. gyno says no. i'm confused?

Both are reasonable choices but you don't need both. I'd follow the advice of the one who is going to be doing your endometrial ablation

Its where you find someone that will carry a baby for you.Your hubby's sperm is added to eggs harvested from you and they use IVF to plant the result in a surrogate. This is quite expensive and not covered by insurance, but it is a way for you to have a kid. Otherwise you are done.
