Green black stools: It may represent a normal stool color but it should be tested to see if tests heme positive. That is it tests positive for blood.

The : The stool colors we get really concerned about are red (blood from colon), black (blood from small intestine or stomach), or white (liver is not working well).  Other things besides blood can cause black stools such as iron, pepto-bismal, black licorice and blueberries.  Unfortunately, with your other symptoms, I do think you should give your doctor a call.  They will be able to test your stool for blood and work up your illness from there depending on the result.  Good luck!

Bowel disease: Some underlying bowel disease will cause these issues.  The Black stool is disconcerting for a possible/probable Intestinal bleed.  Get an evaluation form the GI doctor ASAP to assess your underlying cause.  God luck to you.

Viral infection: Diarrhea in a toddler is typically caused by a viral infection. Treatment includes fever reducers, cool water baths and lots of hydration with electrolyte solutions. The course lasts about 3-5 days. If your baby is not having wet diapers, is lethargic or the fever does not reduce, talk to your Dr for a thorough examination.

Iron in stool: Iron tabs do blacken stools.  Iron typically constipates, but can alter stool to be looser in some.  I incline to worry that you may have an intestinal bleeding source - coincidentally, not derived from iron.  I advise you to stop iron and seek stool blood testing tonight or tomorrow am.

in our fiesta, a pork dish with blood was served. i ate kinda a lot of it since it was tasty, and also some for the second day. i got diarrhea and black stools afterward. is this a normal reaction? the black stools are gone now. will i be okay?

: The meat was probably undercooked and an infection may have occurred. Keep well hydrated, consider a probiotic daily until well. 
Watch for abdominal pain, vomiting and fever.

If stools are: black, tarry and malodorous - this could be due to bleeding in the GI tract. It can also be due to eating certain foods or some medications. If there is any chance this is melena (blood) then he needs prompt medical eval.

Yes, but...: Dark-colored stools may result from iron supplements, foods you eat (like a lot of spinach), substances (like peptobismol), but most significantly suggests bleeding. When blood is denatured by acid in your stomach, as from ulcers, stools will turn tarry ("melena"). Blood may also be ingested from nose bleeds, bleeding gums... Persistent melena (without obvious cause) & symptoms warrants md visit.
