It depends....: How white, grey or black signal on an MRI scan is interpreted depends on the type of sequence that spot appears in. So without knowing the sequence, i can only guess.

If these are scattered black dots they could represent small foci of old hemorrhage or iron deposition. If it is a bigger spot it could represent a fluid collection. I really would have to see the images to give you an answer.

TBI brain holes.: Without seeing the MRI cannot say. But suspect part of your brain is dead there from TBi. But can be due to many other things such as high blood pressure.

Lesions found on : MRI's of the brain may be either unrelated to neurological symptoms or related to an active neurological disorder. History of progression of dystonia &amp; other neurological symptoms, family history of dystonia  &amp; records  of the cause &amp; clinical course  of Renal Tubular Acidosis aid a neurologist's decision to repeat an MRI of the brain for comparison &amp; perform genetic &amp; other medical studies.

Impossible to: venture a guess with limited, nonspecific info.  It could be nothing of significance.  Usually other sequences are performed in addition to proton density.

May be nothing ...: This may just be a benign area in the liver.  There are several things which can develop - cysts, benign tumors (adenoma, focal nodular hyperplasia).   The MRI should help tell what this may be.  Liver cancer is rare if there is no cirrhosis in the liver.  Hang in there.

Gas or calcification: Dark spots ( low signal intensity) can be many things depending on location and MRI pulse sequence. The most common reasons would be gas or calcification on a spine mri.
