It might: bitter almonds do contain cyanide as do other foods. Most almonds sold in the U.S. Are sweet almonds but a portion of imported almonds may have bitter almonds mixed in. Benzaldehyde is what causes the bitter flavor. Emulsin causes hydrolysis of amygdalin making cyanide. Adults who consume large amounts of bitter almonds (~50 or more) can be lethal.

As the body will get plenty of cholesterol from walnuts, etc., it will not need more and will try to remove cholesterol by excreting it.  That way, the cholesterol level in the blood can be lowered. No: Cyanide is a rapidly acting poison. If the person is not deathly ill, the body will get rid of the toxin naturally. 
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex.
