had root canal done almost a month ago over my crown, still have bitter taste/smell (hasn't gotten any better). was told to get a new crown at some point even though i just got it early this year. will getting a new crown fix this problem?

: If you had this crown made less than a year ago, there should be no issues. The odor/taste may be from a different issue. This needs further investigation.

Bitter taste: You need to discuss this with your own dentist. I don&#x27;t think what you are experiencing is related to any lingering medications used during RCT, especially if the tooth had a permanent crown cemented on over it. A temporary crown may have cement that leaches medication. If necessary get a second opinion from another dentist.

root canal 5days ago. now bloody taste in mouth. started  amoxicillin before root canal 250mg 3x day for 8 days. possible infection still present?

Bloody Taste: There can be many reasons for the coppery "bloody" taste in your mouth, and may or may not be related to your root canal treatment. The only way to determine the cause is to return to the General Dentist or Specialist Endodontist who did your treatment for a reevaluation.

my root canal is loose on one side and started getting bad taste in mouth. pain is completely gone and im ok to chew normally. where does the bad taste come from and any issues delaying visiting doctor ( due to covid limitations?

: THE BAD TASTE IS FROM LEAKAGE IN THE ROOT CANAL NOT BEING SEALED COMPLETELY. AFTER ANY ROOT CANAL A CAP SAME AS CROWN IS NECESSARY TO KEEP TOOTH FROM BREAKING AND PROTECTING AND SEALING THE ROOT CANAL AS WELL AS THE TOOTH. SEE A DENTIST AS SOON AS CAN SO IN ORDER TO FINISH THE BEST TREATMENT.

Bitter taste: Bitter taste in the mouth can be from all sorts of causes. Merely listing them won't really help you. Did you ask your own dentist what he/she thinks are the possibilities even if it's not from the extraction? Did you ask if you should consult with your own physician?  You need to be evaluate by both a physician and a dentist to  figure this out for you.

May be from fasting: Fasting leads to ketones which changes the breath odor and taste. An empty stomach can also allow bile reflux  and bile is bitter.

Likely unrelated: Some causes for bitter taste: infection in mouth,dry mouth(xerostomia), GERD,medication side effect, liver disorders,metabolic disorders, psychiatric disorders. Oral hygiene: You may wish to consult a dentist to exclude dental and periodontal issues as the cause of the symptoms.
Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

Sometimes: it may indicate acid reflux or due to eating extreme sweets mouth may feel bitter due to sweet withdrawal

These are little white pellet-looking things that fill the pits or crypts in your tonsils.  Not only will they taste bitter, but they'll give you some pretty foul smelling breath, so you won't be the only one who gets to experience them.  If this is a chronic problem, you should get it checked out.
