i have what i think is a big zit on my inner thigh, but i am stressed out about it being a bed bug bite. it doesn't itch, but it's swollen and red.

Spider?: I think it is more likely a spider bite given the single lesion. Sometimes it gets very infection requiring antibiotic Rx.  You will likely find multiple bites with bed bugs.

Variable: This could be one of a number of benign growths from an ingrown hair to a dermatofibroma (piece of scar tissue thought to be from an old bug bit) to a calcified cyst. You would need to see a dermatologist for evaluation.

Check it: Initially warm soaks can help bring blood to the area but this large "zit" may represent an infection or abscess in your leg. I would have it checked by a physician and see if drainage and antibiotic are in order

: Moles are not painful unless they are in an area of inflammation which would be reddened, feel like it's burning &amp; may be tender. If it's a boil,it would be swollen. Could this have been a spider bite although it would be unlikely to still be very painful after 2 weeks? A physician or dermatologist will have to inspect this lesion&amp;advise you.

Hard to be sure: Is likely to be a small abscess that is ongoing or in a stage of healing. Moist heat applications can improve bood flow through the area and speed healing it it will, or make it finish draining so it can. If it expands have it looked at.

Yes: A pustule or inflammatory papule can develop on the face, trunk, or extremities. You should not try to squeeze or pop the pustule, as this may cause a new bacterial infection. If you choose to treat it, there are some good otc remedies which contain benzoyl peroxide, triclosan, or salicylic acid. I personally have had success with a product called zapzyt, which contains salicylic acid.

No: No. Most likely an infected hair follicle. These lesions are most common when women shave.  Herpes is an ulcerated lesion that is quite painful.

discomfort on side of scrotum that is in regular contact with thigh. noticed some blood on scrotum/thigh and found a small "zit" near a fordyce spot that was the culprit. squeezed it and a poppy seed sized, blood colored nodule popped out. thoughts?

: could be one of several thing but mostly a calcified sebaceous cyst. Nothing serious.
