Many causes: Hard to say what is going on unless you can be more specific.  If both hands and feet are numb at the same time and it is continuous, things like neuropathy or cervical spine compression could cause this.  There are many causes of neuropathy.
Sounds like you should get it checked out.

Symptoms: There are many conditions that can result in the symptoms you describe.  Please do not indulge in self diagnosis.  In order to arrive at the appropriate treatment plan, a differential diagnosis must be accomplished.  See your General Physician for evaluation and then either treatment or referral.

recently noticed right hand numbness/tingling. assumed carpal tunnel and my dr. gave me a brace to wear at night. sxs did not improve. also noticing right hand and right foot significantly colder than left, and sometimes toes on r. foot go numb?

: It is best to go back to your doctor for more comprehensive evaluation, and no longer assume it is carpal tunnel syndrome, but look for other possibilities that may have to do with nutritional deficiencies, heavy metal poisoning or just peripharal vascular problems e.t.c.

One side ?: If all this is on the same side, you could be having what is called TIA which is a temporary lack of blood to the opposite side of the brain.  You really need to get this evaluated.

Maybe stop drinking: Even if you only note periodic episodes of tingling sensations and numbness in your hands and foot, alcohol can lead to neuropathy. I would recommend that if you are finding this direct of an association that you refrain from heavy alcohol, check your vitamin levels and consider seeing a neurologist for a thorough evaluation which may include a EMG/nerve test.

There are a number of other causes, especially diagnoses such as diabetes or other metabolic or hormonal disorders including thyroid problems. If these are happening regularly and are not from resting on a nerve, you should have it checked out.

Not likely: There are many causes for hand/foot numbness and a physician will need much more information about you and to perform a neurological exam to begin to diagnose the cause.  EBV is very common.  It can cause different diseases (such as mono or lymphoma).  Numbness is not specific to EBV and many people have EBV that do not have numbness; so I would not suspect a direct relationship without more info
