Phimosis: If you use it too often, you might cause permanent thinning and fragility of the skin. You could rub it on daily for a week but i wouldn't go longer. You might also consider adding an antiyeast cream daily for a week such as Miconazole since yeast often worsens phimosis. I give my patients a corticosteroid injection in the buttock and an oral antiyeast pill when redness and swelling.

Betamethasone: Betamethasone cream has be used very effectively for treatment of phimosis in children and adults.  It is safe, easy to apply and cost effective.  In most published protocols, it is used twice daily for up to 4 weeks.  Used as instructed, it will cure or significantly improve the problem in over 70% of patients.

It can help.: The use of Betamethasone cream, along with good hygiene and stretching exercises can help with phimosis. Whether is can fix the problem depends on the degree of phimosis and the presence of scarring. In young boys, the issue can resolve spontaneously, and sped up with topical steroids. In adults, especially if scarring has occurred, the success rate drops.

Phimosis Cure: Betamethasone has been used for many years to correct phimosis.  Most of the world's data involve young children, so the data are not necessarily applicable to adults.  My experience is that a scarred and rubbery foreskin rarely responds to any medication.  Betamethasone may be used in other patients - pediatric success is &gt;50%.  I offer preputioplasty as an alternative in select patients.

Phimosis : Phimosis and balanitis are both medical indications for circumcision.  Failure to expose the entire glans prevents proper cleaning and puts you a increased risk for developing squamous cell cancers of the penis, not to metion infections and pain.  It sounds like your doctor did the right thing.

Yes: The treatment for phimosis, tight foreskin, is a long course of topical steroid cream and manual gentle stretching of the foreskin. If these measures fail, circumcision is then indicated.

i have noticed a small tear at the top of my foreskin after sex. it is painful and takes a few days to heal. it appears most times after sex, despite lube; its devastating. ive researched balinitis and phimosis but im not sure if its that?

aside from circumscision are there any other cures to phimosis? any creams? i can still pull my foreskin back almost the whole way its just abit tight . i really dont want a circumscision?

: Yes. To make your F skin pliable gently retract it using a lubricant as far back as it can go comfortably and then bring it back to the normal position. Doing this daily will make it supple and you will not need a circumcision. Dont forget to keep the area clean. good luck
