Grisofulvin: I usually use an antifungal shampoo and an oral anti-fungal called grisofulvin.  I would usually do a skin puch biopsy first to identify and confirm the organism as treatment with these agents can be tough on the liver and you need a definitive diagnosis before starting these treatments.  Other scalp infections can mimmick "ringworm".

Grow back of hair may take longer, up to 12 weeks.
