i buy some mixed oils from a hawker in street for hair growth which he claim,he extracted himself to use on hairs.if he used some bad chemicals in oils,can it dangerous for health like kidney,pancreas,heart,liver etc. or it cannot be bad like this?

Things people sell: There are people out there who will sell you lots of things to make your hair grow... so, beware! Haven't heard of any street hawker oils that are proven to increase hair growth. Sounds like a risky transaction, as who knows what goes into street hawker oils and what they might or might do to the body.

what kind of cooking oil is best for people with kidney disease? i use canola but im guessing it's not the best choice lol

Accepted Answer

Olive, coconut and..: Olive oil is healthy for cooking at low temperature but is not healthy when exposed to high heat. For higher heat i recommend coconut oil, which has many health benefits and does well at high temperatures. Hi-oleic safflower oil is also good for high temperatures. i have taken 81 mg aspirin for 8 years for blood clot prevention for brain avm. but i'm on lithium and a doctor said switch to fish oil to improve kidney function. he said fish oil is preferred treatment. can i switch? what's best dosage of fish oil?

I would not: Aspirin is an antiplatelet agent and for many of us is the treatment for blood clot prevention with your condition, As long as there’s no content Acacian to taking the aspirin.

Usually, ok...: Most often a horseshoe kidney is incidentally found in CT scan for searching/confirming diseases in/behind abdomen including renal stone, but patients with this congenital malformation/abnormality usually still live a normal life like others except requiring special attention /precaution &amp; even techniques to manage its diseases like stone or tumor. No: There is no evidence to support the medicinal claims of essential oils.

Not sure: I haven't come across any study that shows prevention of kidney stones with above. If you are having recurrent stones, will need to make sure that your serum calcium level is not high. Certain dietary changes can reduce kidney stones formation, including drinking 6 to 8 glasses of water a day at least, avoid sugary drinks and weight gain. Talk to your doctor regarding medication for kidney stones.

With minimal use: Mineral oil could interfere with vitamin d absorbtion.. Chronic renal failure patients have decreased vitamin d levels, the use of this medication could cause   even lower levels of vitamin d with resulting bone disease and low calcium levels.

See below: Soya beans are high in protein, which can lead to formation of stones. Soya bean oil is fat and should be ok to take in kidney stones. In general be careful with amount of fats for other health reasons.

Oil spots: this usually represent fat in the urine which could be associated with protein in the urine

is there an issue with having monoxidil oil for scalp(baldness) after i  had a kidney transplant(pod-12months), using tacrolimus immune suppressive?

Accepted Answer

No problem: There is no problem using Minoxidil on the scalp since it is not absorbed and may well not be effective due to your use of the drug tacrolimus. You may need to discuss switching from tacrolimus to Cyclosporine with your transplant team. By the way, Cyclosporine causes excessive hair growth - this is one of its side effects!
