Sprain or fracture: Was it x-rayed? If it is not a missed fracture or widened mortise, your inactivity could be a cause.  Failure to dorsiflex your foot fully will cause metatarsalgia-forefoot pain. Plantar fasciitis although it is a really different problem is about the underside of the heel and is actually a bursa.  If it was neg/x-ray start runner's stretches and get the ankle loose.

: Many, many possibilities - “complex regional pain syndrome”, persistent hairline fracture of toe, “premature” osteoarthritis, malposition of tendon, infection of tendon repair, etc, etc.  Need to see Orthopedic or Podiatric surgeon, need complete exam (maybe plus MRI) and proceed from there.

At 7 months, unlikely to heal spontaneously.  At 63 years, may ultimately become very disabling

Need a more info: Your symptoms are too vague to determine what could be wrong.  I would suggest seeing a specialist so that a proper examination may be conducted.  Although you have mentioned many issues that you are not experiencing, there are still several causes that could result in dorsal foot pain while walking.
