Depends: If you're not on a long-acting antihistamine, i would say switch to one of the 24 hour ones, and take it at bedtime so that it is fully in your system when you wake up the next morning.

There: are  many new drugs which act on the RELEASE of HISTAMINE the chemical which causes the symptoms you have....Antihistamines are often NOT effective enough to "fight" histamine once it is relreased. ALSO LOCAL therapy with corticosteroid sprays are now available without Prescription in the US!

: It looks like it is better to take it before mowing to allow time for absorption but not too long before. You may also wear a mask and eye protection to reduce allergen exposure.

Cough, no fever?'s: A sustained cough w/o fever in today's pandemic may indicate Covid infection.  Get tested if possible, but even if test is negative, quarantine of yourself and other family members is advised for at least 10 days.  If respiratory symptoms increase, go to an emergency room site for exam, as hospitalization may be necessary.

With caution : You can, but better be under doctor's supervision if you need more than one zyrtec tablet a day,. If nasal symptoms are  bothersome,  OTC  steroid nasal spray can help, read the labels carefully and don't exceed recommended dosage and duration,  preceded by saline nasal washes. If not controlled better see your doctor for assessment and possible referral to an allergist, if you have access to one

No: The usual antihistamine has no effect on the immune system.

Antihistamines: There is some literature that suggests that antihistamines can assist with implantation rates after embryo transfer, so i suspect it would be alright.  I would still, however, discuss this with your ivf doctor.

Allergic rhinitis: For very severe hay fever symptoms not responding to antihistamines and nasal decongestant pills and spray, corticosteroids are effective. Also the class of medications like montelukast have been helpful. Discuss these with your physician.
