Prescriptions: Prescriptions are stronger in general than treatments that are available without a rx.  You can try the ones from the store for 6 weeks and see if they help you enough.  If not, then see your doctor or a dermatologist for the better medications.

May help: It is possible that probiotics may help with these conditions. Also make sure that your thyroid is working normally. Your doctor can check this with a blood test. The brand name Align is a good form of probiotic to take and they are available online and in pharmacies.

is the clear now skin care system from quixtar an effective product for acne care?

Accepted Answer

Maybe: It's the pricey salicylic acid with the orange peel etc. Added for glamor, correct? Try it out and if it doesn't work (benzoyl peroxide's the best over-the-counter stuff), your physician can add something that will help more; topical clindamycin's often a good addition. Good luck.

Individualized: It really depends on what kind of acne you have. I would recommend you have your doctor take a look at it and classify what kind of acne it is which will make it much easier for him/her to advise which medications and products would benefit you the most. Some therapies include topical retinoids or antibiotics, and oral antibiotics among other more intensive therapies if those don't work.

Mild Acne: Many previously prescribed acne medications are now available over the counter.  For mild facial acne, topical benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, and retinol are beneficial.

Accepted Answer

Moisturize: Cetaphil is a soap free non-ionic cleanser.  It does not adequately remove surface epidermal lipids.  Detergent cleansers are preferred.  Then apply a low concentration benzoyl peroxide cream in the morning followed by a broad spectrum sunscreen.  At night, after cleansing, apply a 5% topical niacinamide moisturizer.

Acne: Powder might be better. Wash your foundation off once you reach home.

i had a miscarriage in sep 2018, had acne from jan 2019, ive been on acnetane since april. will this in any way cause difficulties when ttc?as i would like to ttc in february 2020 after the acnetane leaves my system.what meds can i take for concepts

You may not need any: If you conceived easily last time, you will likely do so again. OBs do prescribe Clomid and other medications if you can’t get pregnant with 6 months of trying.

Use catuion: Aa skin is very sensitive to all the lasers and chemical peels in that the skin can become darker or lighter. Darker tends to resolve hypopigmentation ( lighter) may not.
The standards are safe for you benzoyl peroxide washes, maybe oral antibiotics for a few months (minocycline) and exfoliators like Retin-A or gentile glycolic acid peels in the form of a wash.
See a good dermatologist not a spa.
