Lack of evidence: Grape seed extract is considered beneficial because of anti-oxidants and benefits related to cardiovascular disease.  It is recommended that it is used in caution in people with bleeding disorders and high blood pressure.  There is no evidence, one way or the other, that would indicate whether it is safe or harmful during pregnancy.  That is why they say "do not take while pregnant".

: Hemorrhoid surgery is usually not a "first choice" in addressing this problem, as "the cure may be worse than the disease" in terms of pain and slow return to normal.  Probiotics, increased fiber and dietary changes may significantly reduce symptoms, but get a referral to a colorectal surgery for guidance.
