Keep the area clean: Wash with warm water and soap.  Keep the area clean.  If uncomfortable, may give an appropriate dose of Tylenol (acetaminophen).  You will want to consult with a pediatrician for the correct dose as the child is under 2.

Probably fungal: rash, moniiasis which will respond to OTC anti fungal creams like Lotrimin AF, Monistat, Clotrimazole etc. If itching is intense add a small bean sized drop of 1% hydrocortisone cream to  a nickel sized drop of anti fungal cram and apply as a thin film,twice daily.

Benadryl (diphenhydramine) is NOT: A treatment for acne. Wash face w gentle cleanser 2x/day ; use oil free products. No oily hair or heavy foundations. Exfoliate occasionally. Try not to pop pimples. Avoid touching face (cradling chin in hands). Remove makeup before bed. Shower after strenuous exercise. Consider otc products (salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide). If &gt; mild acne see dermatology.

Irritant: The active ingredient in Curology can be quite irritating for some . Topical hydrocortisone cream may be helpful if the effect is mild,  If the irritation is causing blisters, then you need to contact your doctor for Rx.

By mouth, possibly: Rash to a cream usually is due to contact dermatitis. The best treatment is avoidance, namely stopping the offending cream. If the rash continues after stopping, usually a steroid topically or by mouth may be required. Benadryl (diphenhydramine) by mouth will reduce itching, but not necessarily affect the rash. You better see a dermatologist.

Yes: Dayquil doesn&#x27;t contain an antihistaminic, read the labels for other preparations though, fine to take together and with doxycycline, good that you asked, always exercise caution with multiple medications, wish you wellness

Rosacea: Could be perioral dermatitis or rosacea. If it is one of these conditions it is treated with low dose antibiotics or topical medication. You should see your dermatologist for definitive diagnosis.

Acne: You may be developing nodulocystic acne which can be a more severe form of acne.  If so, seeing your doctor to change your antibiotic or consider another med such as Accutane may help.
