Sticking my neck out: Ok if stored properly at least for a few more months.I would not advise using any expired biologic products or antibiotics ). As I recall, the US Army had done a study finding that most expired medications (above products excepting) are likely good for a few more years if stored properly (No to heat and humidity ) Our legal system discourages us from advising the use of any expired products

No worries: Most meds last well longer than their expiration date, in some cases - years. As time passes, the medicine simply loses potency. The worst that would happen is that you wouldn't get the expected benefit of the Benadryl.

Yes: Old medications have 2 issues: 1) they make not work as well and 2) they are more likely to have germs, but if these two things don't worry you, you can try it

New bottle is better: You could probably give your child the Benadryl (diphenhydramine) without any adverse side effects. Perhaps the potency has decreased but if the medicine was properly stored, it shouldn't cause any harm. But if the medicine has been expired for two months, it's probably been in your cupboard for over two years.  If your child had a bad allergic reaction, you'd feel a lot better knowing the medicine was still good.

This : This is a bit tricky to answer without a picture and more clinical information.  I doubt it was from the blood draw.  This time of year it could be many things including a medication reaction, eczema, a viral exanthem, psoriasis, dry skin from low humidity, and many others.  Perhaps a visit to a dermatologist would be helpful for diagnosis and treatment options.  I hope that helps a little!
