Left rib pain: May be reflux from stomach.  or gas from colon ( it is that high up), may have food intolerances, avoid alcohol caffeine, energy drinks, smoking, consider trial of ranitidine or prevecid- if not allergic. may be costochondirits ( if you press does it hurt?) - rarely cardiac/pericarditis, or lymph nodes. F/u w/ doc urgent  care xray would  show gas, EKG suggest pericarditis/cardiac

Postoperative pain: Can be a variety of reasons - from the less serious such as muscular through to the serious such as postoperative pulmonary embolus or postoperative urinary tract infection among others.  Needs urgent assessment.  Recommend urgent consultation with a doctor licensed in your area as may need examination and tests (urine, blood, possibly X-rays or scans) to sort this out.

Given the constant and unremitting nature of your pain, I would suggest an urgent evaluation, possibly with ultrasound and routine bloodwork to start.

Sounds like a sprain: You will have to lay off whatever you are doing. if its exercise you may not have stretched enough prior to the activity. so just rest for a couple of weeks and return to activity in smaal increments to tolerance.
