Very : Very frequent to get minor infections an inflammation in navel piercings.  Apply topical antibiotic (polysporin, bacitracin) with bandaid covering.  If redness or tenderness begin to expand outward, you may need oral antibiotics.  If does not clear up with above, may need to remove earring completely.

Navel Stone: Yes mupirocin can help if there is an infection and you can apply it deep into your belly button twice a day for 7days. If your skin becomes indurates, warm, tender, worsening, very red, and draining increases you must see your Primary Care Physician.

It depends: If associated with Nausea, Vomiting and Fever=yes
If associated with Menstrual Period=Rx NSAID
If Associated with Constipation/Diarrhea=take appropriate measures and will resolve

Umbilical hernia?: A small, persistent umbilical hernia may be present. Alternatively, the lump you feel may be of dermatologic origin or from deeper inside (sister mary joseph's nodule). The longevity of your problem supports a benign process--so curtail worrying and get the problem checked for a definitive diagnosis.  How big is the "ball" in question? Had a ct scan yet?

Psychotherapy ?CBT: Obsessional ideation can typically be dealt with best with cognitive behavior therapy.  Thought stopping is strategy where when you start to obsess, you close your eyes and visualize a large re stop sign and shout to yourself, "stop." intentional distraction can be effective.
More analytical type therapy would focus on origins and "what does this mean?" approaches.  This would likely be helpful.

You need proper eval: I whish I could just tell you what to take for your pain. But abdominal pain(belly pain) always requires physical examination and sometimes other testing by a healthcare provider in order to come up with a diagnosis. As a rule of thumb, any pain that doesn't subside within 48 hours or gets increasingly worse needs immediate medical assistance.

Disease present: This is a tough situation.  Umbilical endo is relatively rare but we have seen it numerous times.  This is similar to cesarean scar endometriosis.  At surgery, we  can only see and feel, however the disease is microscopic and can easily be missed resulting in your situation.  Unfortunately, another shot at surgery is required.  We try not to take too much tissue and this persistence is the risk.

See MD: Any enlargement of a supraclavicular lymph node should be evaluated immediately. You can get hernias above your navel. Difficult to know without examining you. You need to see a physician.

how is a laproscopic insicision made in the belly button? having surgery for appendix but my navel is tiny, how will this proceudre be done?

Ask your surgeon: I would ask your surgeon.  I like to place my incision just below the belly button, but i know surgeons that don't use this area at all and prefer to use a right upper quadrant incision.
