help, i have black bump randomly appeared on finger; i also have pain in the upper joint of finger, what could this be i have being for a finger scan ?

Is the size of the bump increases in size, as well the pain in intensity.
What is the color of the skin? is the bump attached to the skin or to the bone?
You need to see a hand surgeon, and had an MRI of the hand. This will dictate future treatment.

Aspiration or surg: Ganglion are cysts that can come off of a joint or a tendon. Aspiration (sticking a needle into the cyst) under local anesthesia can be done. Surgery may be necessary to remove with a decrease recurrence rate vs. Aspiration. Often a ganglionis due to or associated with joint pathology or tendon prob;em which may need to be addressed surgically.

Ganglion cyst?: A ganglion cyst is possible. Those often go away. If it is not painful and not enlarging just have your doctor look at it the next time you see him or her. if it becomes painful or is enlarging then be seen sooner.

Common hand lumps: Include ganglion ( cyst) , foreign body, or it's inclusion cyst or epidermal inclusion cyst, benign  solid tumors . Nodules from dupuytrens disease, gout or inflammatory arthritis. Malignant or metastatic disease can occur but is very rare.  At times tendinitis is associated with swollen tissue that feels like a lump and nerves or blood vessels can swell talk to your pcp and/ or see a hand surgeon

Yes: Depending on the location they are usually called bouchard's or heberden's nodules.  They are rarely of an significance, but are harbingers of joint arthritis.  Removing them usually trades a bump for a scar, and recurrence does occur.
